Investigations Unit

HOW IT WORKS

CanTrack is proud to have the only Investigations Unit made up of full-time former police officers and our rolling recovery rate is currently 93%.

The investigators line is manned 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for the reporting of thefts, and we have investigators based throughout the UK to ensure national coverage. The system is designed to be as hassle free as and non-labour intensive as possible.

PHASE 1: Theft Reporting

In the unfortunate event of a theft, call the police and gain a crime reference number. Ring us as soon as possible to report the theft and we’ll take a few details while we remotely locate your asset.

PHASE 2: Asset Location

Once we have a rough idea where your asset is, we’ll deploy our nearest Investigator to locate and secure your possession. When our unit (the one on your machine) checks-in with us, we inform it that it is stolen and it gives us a precise location. Our Investigations Unit work simultaneously remotely and on the ground to visually locate and secure your asset.

PHASE 3: Recovery

After visually locating the stolen item, we stay with the asset until it’s recovered. This can be by yourselves or via the Police depending on the advice from both yourself and the police.

A full, detailed recovery report with photos will be provided by our Investigations Unit shortly afterwards.
